The KungFu BBQ story began in late 2020, when Nate and Kristian cooked and served 20 meals to friends in the restaurant industry. The positive response was overwhelming, and word quickly spread on social media. Within a short time, they had amassed a waitlist of over 5,000 eager fans, all clamoring to experience the unique flavors of KungFu BBQ.

KungFu BBQ currently operates at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and has a food truck that serves the Dayton region. "We are excited to provide a consistent location to do things the right way," says Marie Lansangan, Nate's wife and a key member of the KungFu BBQ team. "We believe the customers who've supported us for all these years at pop-ups and at the food truck will be very happy to see that we are following through on the promise of an accessible location."

The Silos will feature four food vendors, including Nood Bar, a concept by Chef Dane Shipp that will offer authentic Asian-inspired noodle dishes and bao buns. Surrounding the food hall, the property will be divided into four distinct areas: The Front Yard, American Yard, Little India, and European Alley. The Silos' vision extends beyond the food hall, with plans to develop additional features that will further enhance the overall experience. Within the next five years, the property aims to include a building that could house a coffee shop, a building near the silos that could serve as an event center or complementary space to the food hall, and four silos that will be transformed into Airbnb accommodations. These expansions will create a multifaceted destination that caters to the diverse needs and interests of visitors.
