The eight-member supergroup will contribute a new track titled 'Slash' to the soundtrack, adding to the excitement surrounding the film's release. Interestingly, actor and producer Ryan Reynolds had initially hoped to feature the band in a special appearance, but logistical challenges made it impossible.

This led to a digital friendship with one of the members, and eventually, they met in person.

The Plan to Feature Stray Kids in the Film

Reynolds also disclosed that there were initial plans to have Stray Kids make a special appearance in the 'Deadpool and Wolverine' film. However, due to the ongoing strike and other logistical issues, the idea ultimately proved to be impossible to execute. Reynolds humorously recalled the reaction of the film's line producer when he suggested including all eight members of the group.

In 2021, Stray Kids showcased their versatility and talent on the Korean music reality show 'Kingdom: Legendary War.' The group delivered an impressive mashup of their hit song 'God's Menu' and Blackpink's 'DDU-DU DDU-DU,' with member Felix kicking off the performance dressed as Deadpool and delivering a cheeky monologue reminiscent of Reynolds' character.

The Unique Soundtrack of 'Deadpool and Wolverine'

Director Shawn Levy discussed the film's unique soundtrack, which features a diverse range of hits from artists like NSYNC, Madonna, Fergie, and The Goo Goo Dolls. Levy explained that a Deadpool soundtrack is always distinctive, reflecting Ryan Reynolds' eclectic taste. He noted that the soundtrack for this film, which includes the Stray Kids track, continues this tradition of being "so diverse and disparate, but it just feels right in the room."

Hugh Jackman's Contribution to the Soundtrack

Interestingly, the 'Deadpool and Wolverine' soundtrack also features a song from Hugh Jackman himself. 'The Greatest Show,' from Jackman's 2017 movie of the same name, is among the 18 songs on the soundtrack. However, it remains unclear how this track will be incorporated into the film.
