The Pelham Police Department reported that they responded to a call at 59 Bridge Street around 11:45 a.m. on Tuesday, where they found two vehicles that had sustained significant damage. The investigation revealed that a 20-year-old Pelham resident, Joshua Kirby-MacNeil, was driving a Chevrolet Camaro northbound on Bridge Street at an "extremely high rate of speed" when he crashed into a Toyota Prius traveling in the same direction. The impact of the collision caused the Toyota Prius to veer off the road and into the nearby woods.

Victims Rushed to the Hospital

Authorities stated that both Kirby-MacNeil and the driver of the Toyota Prius suffered serious injuries and were transported to the hospital for medical treatment. Additionally, four other passengers involved in the crash were also taken to the hospital, but with only minor injuries.

Officials reported that Kirby-MacNeil was impaired while operating the vehicle.
