Daring Heist Targets Gun Shop, Thieves Steal Dozens of Firearms

In a brazen early morning raid, a group of approximately 10 men used a car to smash the front of a gun shop in Orange, California, before stealing dozens of firearms from the premises. The incident, which occurred on July 13th, has sparked a police investigation and raised concerns about the security of gun stores in the region.

Thieves Exploit Vulnerability to Steal Firearms

Coordinated Attack on Fowler's Gun Room

The incident took place at Fowler's Gun Room, located at 358 S. Tustin St. in Orange, California. According to authorities, the thieves arrived at the scene around 5 a.m. in three separate vehicles. One of the suspects then used a silver Kia sedan to ram the front of the shop, creating an opening for the rest of the group to enter.Once inside, the thieves quickly smashed display cases and stole a significant number of handguns and rifles. Police estimate that more than 50 firearms were stolen during the heist, which was completed within a matter of minutes.

Masked Suspects Evade Authorities

The suspects, who were all wearing hoodies and masks, managed to flee the scene before police could respond. Authorities are still working to identify the other two vehicles used in the robbery and determine the direction in which the thieves escaped.The Kia sedan used in the initial ram-raid is believed to have been stolen, and police are waiting to hear back from the registered owner to confirm this. The investigation is being conducted in collaboration with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF).

Similarities to Previous Gun Store Burglary

Police are also aware of a similar heist that took place in Camarillo, California, on July 1st. In that incident, burglars used a stolen blue Kia sedan to ram the entrance of a gun store, then proceeded to smash glass cases and steal firearms. However, it is not yet known whether the two cases are related.
